從今年6月1日開始，所有在中國申請英國學(xué)生簽證的學(xué)生都將進(jìn)行面試。英國大使館教育文化處相關(guān)負(fù)責(zé)人表示，新制度不是為了增加簽證難度，是為了把簽證發(fā)放給那些“真正想到英國學(xué)習(xí)的學(xué)生”，對于面簽，中國學(xué)生不必過多擔(dān)憂。
數(shù)據(jù)顯示，2012年，英國內(nèi)政部在中國簽發(fā)了超過57000份學(xué)生簽證，比2011年增長約9%。在中國，因?yàn)閷W(xué)生申請的材料質(zhì)量不斷上升，拒簽率從2010年的14%下降到2012年的2%。英國政府政策內(nèi)閣部長奧利弗·萊特文表示，對于面簽，中國學(xué)生無需感到害怕，此舉不會(huì)影響中國學(xué)生和其他真正的國際學(xué)生很高的簽證通過率。
專家表示，英國簽證面試被拒簽的幾率非常之低，因?yàn)檫@不作為對簽證申請者英文能力的衡量，唯一可能的被拒簽原因就是面試官認(rèn)為申請人材料不充分，對自己的學(xué)習(xí)計(jì)劃很不明確，不是真正的學(xué)生簽證入境者，而是把這個(gè)簽證用來做別的用途。增設(shè)面試環(huán)節(jié)不會(huì)延長申請時(shí)間，也不會(huì)對簽證通過率造成影響。
英國領(lǐng)事館教育文化處相關(guān)負(fù)責(zé)人重申，新的面試體系將使防止學(xué)生簽證體系被濫用，整個(gè)簽證流程更加完善，這將保護(hù)目的為真正赴英學(xué)習(xí)與工作的學(xué)生和正規(guī)的高等院校、中學(xué)及學(xué)院，確保英國教育環(huán)境井然有序，以繼續(xù)吸引更多優(yōu)秀的中國學(xué)生。
英國留學(xué)學(xué)生簽證具體要求
1、簽證面試將由英國內(nèi)務(wù)部工作人員通過高科技視頻連接來完成(并非通過Skype，而是一個(gè)專門設(shè)計(jì)的系統(tǒng))。這些工作人員都經(jīng)過全面的培訓(xùn)，并熟知對中國申請人的要求。
2、面試語言為英語，但并不作為學(xué)生英語水平的評價(jià)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。學(xué)生仍需針對其前往英國求學(xué)的意愿以及所選課程和就讀院校等基本問題做出回答。
3、學(xué)生提交申請資料及完成生物指紋采集以后，簽證中心將立即進(jìn)行面試。學(xué)生無需進(jìn)行一次單獨(dú)的簽證面試。
4、承諾該簽證過程將不會(huì)影響到簽證總體時(shí)間，仍為15個(gè)工作日。
5、新簽證面試將于6月1日初開始執(zhí)行，適用于所有Tier4申請人，沒有例外。
