notion作“概念，觀念，看法”解時，常接that引導的從句作notion的同位語。notion作“突然的念頭，奇想，意圖，打算”解時常接動詞不定式或“of+v-ing”作定語。notion作“理解，明白”解時前面常用no，any，some修飾，其后可接of引導的介詞短語，也可接what引導的同位語從句。
