據(jù)加拿大簽證中心的官方公告，自2014年6月1日期起，加拿大學(xué)生簽證的正式按新規(guī)定實行。
新規(guī)章1: Applicants must enrol in and continue to pursue studies in Canada. ?Failure to do so could lead to removal from Canada.
申請者必須在學(xué)校注冊，并且在去往加拿大之后必須是在學(xué)校里學(xué)習(xí)，否則會被驅(qū)逐出境。
新規(guī)章2:Study permits will only be issued to successful applicants who are pursuing studies at an educational institution that has been designated to receive international students.
只有去加拿大指定的具有招收國際學(xué)生資格的教育機構(gòu)，才能會頒發(fā)學(xué)生簽證。
新規(guī)章3:Study permits will automatically authorize the holder to work off-campus for up to 20 hours per week during the academic session and full-time during scheduled breaks without the need to apply for a separate work permit. The study permit holder must be pursuing academic, vocational or professional training of six months or more that leads to a degree, diploma or certificate at a designated institution.
獲得學(xué)生簽證的學(xué)生，會被自動授予校外工作許可（上課期間每周不超過20小時，放假時可以全職），而不需要另外在申請。允許打工的學(xué)生必須是正在接受6個月以上的學(xué)習(xí)的學(xué)生。
新規(guī)章4:Only international students who are pursuing studies at a secondary school or at a designated institution may apply for a Co-Op Work Permit if a co-op placement is an integral part of their course of study.
學(xué)生只有在加國指定院校申請才能申請Co-Op工作許可。
改革后加強了對申請Co-Op工作許可的要求，只有在指定的學(xué)校才能申請Co-Op工作許可。所以學(xué)生們?nèi)绻肴ビ蠧o-Op項目的學(xué)校，一定要注意去核查該學(xué)校是否有資格。
新規(guī)章5：Visitors may apply for a study permit from within Canada if they are at the pre-school, primary or secondary level, are on an academic exchange or a visiting student at a designated learning institution, or have completed a course or program of study that is a condition for acceptance at a designated learning institution.
交換生和訪問生（包括學(xué)前、小學(xué)和中學(xué)）可以在加拿大境內(nèi)申請學(xué)簽。
新規(guī)章6：A study permit becomes invalid 90 days following the completion of studies unless the foreign national also possesses a valid work permit or another authorization to remain in Canada.
學(xué)生畢業(yè)后，學(xué)簽的有效期將自動變成90天。除非轉(zhuǎn)工簽或者其他合法途徑，否則無法繼續(xù)合法逗留在加國。
新規(guī)章7：Eligible international graduates will be authorized to work full-time after their studies are completed until a decision is made on their application for a Post-Graduation Work Permit.
留學(xué)生畢業(yè)后從申請了畢業(yè)工簽開始就可以在加拿大合法工作，除非畢業(yè)工簽被拒了（一般不會）。
