美國(guó)西北大學(xué)MSCS項(xiàng)目開(kāi)設(shè)于其McCormick School of Engineering下 EECS depart-ment中的Computer Science Division下的研究生項(xiàng)目
美國(guó)西北大學(xué)為quarter制，區(qū)別于其他傳統(tǒng)北美院校的semester制。
每個(gè)quarter為10周，每年上3個(gè)quarters，從每年的9月末開(kāi)始到6月結(jié)束
需要注意的是，西北大學(xué)允許延期畢業(yè)，如果完不成畢業(yè)所需的thesis或者Project可以申請(qǐng)延期，延期的quarter只收取100刀注冊(cè)費(fèi)并不收取學(xué)費(fèi)。(項(xiàng)目并不是很貴)
項(xiàng)目的費(fèi)用為1.7W dolloar/quarter， 但是限制3-4 courses以內(nèi). 如果選擇課程少于3門(mén)，則可以算作Part-time qurater，則學(xué)費(fèi)為6k dollar/course。
1、Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning(人工智能與機(jī)器學(xué)習(xí))
Work in AI combines the scale afforded by machine learning with the expressive and organizational power of semantic information-processing and knowledge-based reasoning
2、Graphics(計(jì)算機(jī)圖像處理)
設(shè)計(jì)，建模，構(gòu)建系統(tǒng)并將傳感器與顯示器以及新型光學(xué)元件相結(jié)合，為醫(yī)療，天文和科學(xué)成像中的相機(jī)和顯示器提供新的功能
3、Human-Computer Interaction and Infor-mation Visualization(人機(jī)交互與信息可視化)
西北大學(xué)擁有一個(gè)充滿活力的跨學(xué)校 HCI 社區(qū)，教職員工和學(xué)生參與了廣泛的項(xiàng)目。HCI 的學(xué)生就讀于計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)、通信、學(xué)習(xí)科學(xué)以及技術(shù)與社會(huì)行為方面的課程。
4、Computer Engineering(計(jì)算機(jī)工程)
16 courses 8+8 (12 cs + 12 ee) double major = Major in ee. Major in cs
