USC的電氣工程項目為期2年，共需修讀27個學分。該項目是為那些對超大規模集成電路設計現在和未來的發展感興趣的電氣工程專業學生設置的一個集合。
該項目學生國際生占比88%，師資力量雄厚，跟工業界聯系非常緊密，就業氛圍友好，因此非常受學生歡迎。
該項目要求申請者本科畢業，擁有工程、數學或自然科學等專業背景，且要求學生完成至少27個學分：基礎課程13~14個學分；三門VLSL設計相關的選修課9~11學分。碩士畢業要求GPA至少3.0.
二、課程設置
必修課：課程分為三大領域-VISL/CAD Area，Circuits and Devices Area，Computer Systems Area。學生們須從其中一個領域選修兩門課，另一個領域中選修一門課。
VISL/CAD Area
Introduction to Programming Systems Design，Diagnosis & Design of Reliable Digital Systems
Circuits and Devices Area
Mixed-Signal Integrated Circuit Design
Computer Systems Area
Introduction to Programming Systems Design，Analysis of Algorithms，Computer Systems Architecture，VLSI System Design
選修課：Computer Systems Organization，MOS VLSI Circuit Design ，Analog Integrated Circuit Design等。
三、就業前景
該項目的畢業生就業情況非常樂觀，畢業后起人均薪為$139,310, 2020屆畢業生畢業后兩個月內就業率為80%，
主要就業崗位有：軟件工程師、設計工程師、電氣工程師以及硬件工程師。
就業排名前10的公司包括：Apple, Amazon, Qualcomm, Nvidia, Cisco Systems, Microsoft,Facebook, NASA等，就業排名前5的地區為：Los Angeles, San Jose, Santa Clara, Cupertino, Seattle等。
