哥倫比亞大學金融工程碩士項目設于工業工程與運籌系之下，研究生只招收MS學生，至少需修讀36個課程學分(可以在1年或1.5內完成)。要求申請者本科畢業，擁有數學、概率論、微積分和現行代數等專業背景。要求申請者遞交GRE成績，但并無最低GRE、GPA等分數要求。該專業屬于MS項目，而哥倫比亞大學工業工程與運籌系是不向MS學生提供獎學金，故該專業無獎學金。
